Attention seeking

TOP TIP: Take the reader straight into your story with an attention-grabbing first paragraph, draw them into the narrative and keep them there.

Introduce the idea, set up a question the reader will want to answer, and engage the senses.

“There were twelve of them. They were walking about the City close to St Pauls looking out for trees. The Sweet Gum Tree, The London Plane ….”

A great intro from  Christopher Owen’ s story City Walk, one of many great stories that will be in the Write-Time anthology out later this year.
