WriteTime is about one aim pure and simple: to encourage older people to share their stories and their talent. Our writing competitions are only for writers aged over 60.
The WriteTime team is Irene, Sue, Nadia and Tim and we are all over 60. Between us we have years of experience of writing, editing, teaching, organising events, making art, entering competitions (winning some!) and living and working all over the country.
Now we all live in West Sussex and we set up Shoreham Press as a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) in 2016. We’ve been developing WriteTime since then.
Our age group has always done things differently. And just about all the best stories are influenced by our personal experiences. If you can turn your reflections into fiction, and inspire others to do the same, we want to hear from you.
Use your experience to put your characters to the test. But remember we’re looking for fictional stories.
